Have you ever seen a zombie story through their eyes? Is their human soul just stuck watching the horrific thing they do as they wonder the land eating the flesh or brains of the living? This is one question I wanted to try and answer when given this college assignment.
In college I decided to try and flush out this zombie apocalypse world that was floating in my head. In short, I ended up changing the title from ‘The Waking Dead’ to ‘Dead Awakening’ and wrote about four flash fiction stories and a single 5 min. screen play. The assignment was to write a short story and publish it in two weeks. This is the horribly designed cover I put together in Photoshop and it was accepted by Smashwords and Amazon. Barns and Nobles rejected it, but can you blame them? Look at that crappy cover I did! As for the story? Well go ahead and try and read the 2nd draft well I rewrite it to its final form.g my stuff read by strangers and it taught me the most valuable lesson. I’m not as bad as I think.
